First triangular Eu-India-China Summer School on: "ASPECTS OF COMPLEXITY IN COMPUTATIONAL NEUROSCIENCE"

In the framework of a collaboration initiative fostered by the
Institute for Scientific Interchange in the field of the science of
Complex Systems, ISI is organizing and hosting a EU-INDIA-CHINA
Triangular Summer School on "Aspects of Complexity in Neuroscience"
CORE SUBJECTS AND MOTIVATIONS:
The goal of the one-week ISI school in computational neuroscience is
to provide the opportunity for young researchers with theoretical
backgrounds to learn some of the latest advances in both experimental
and theoretical neuroscience. The school will be held in the Institute
for Scientific Interchange, located on a top of a hill that overlooks
the city of Torino. It will focus mainly on models of:
- Visual system
- Learning
- Memory
The course will have two complementary parts. In the morning, there
will be lectures given by distinguished international faculty. In the
afternoon, the students will have time for self-study of papers
selected by the invited speakers. At the end of the day, students will
present and collectively discuss the papers studied, under the
supervision of the lecturers.
This school promises to be a unique setting for a truly multi polar
interaction between Indian, Chinese and European students and
researchers in a field at the forefront of contemporary science, with
compelling implications in information technology as well as in social
and behavioral sciences.
