China-EU-India Triangular Summer Schools

In the framework of a collaboration initiative fostered by the Institute for Scientific Interchange in the field of the science of Complex Systems between Europe, China and India, we are organizing and hosting an CHINA-EU-INDIA Triangular Summer School on "Complexity Science and Real-World Applications" in Beijing (after the successful first school in Turin, Italy in June, 2007).
SCHOOL CONCEPT:
The goal of the two-week school is to provide an opportunity for young researchers to learn about the latest advances in fundamental methods of modeling complexity systems and applications in cognitive systems, internet and complex social and conomic modeling. Theschool will be held at Tsinghua University (the top Engineering University of China) and Renmin University (a top University in humanity and management sciences), both in Beijing, China. It will focus mainly on two areas:
- Complexity in Natural Neuron networks.
- Complexity in Socio-Economic networks.
EXPECTED PARTICIPANTS
40-50 PhD students from China, Europe and India, who are interested in research oncomplexity science and application-related topics with diversified backgrounds in related
disciplines.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
All selected participants will be paid with full cost including local accommodation / transport and course expenses. Participants from Europe and India will be also paid with international flight to Beijing.

time.
